We have had to re-advertise for house sitters from our original post in June 2013, because the sitters we chose & had reached agreement with, have withdrawn their sit offer due to a change in their circumstances. So please we would love to hear from interested sitters to help us-Again!! Our town of Forrest Beach of approx 2000 is located 18km's east of Ingham on the beach, our house being 10 min walk to the beach & local shops. Ingham is 110kms north of Townsville in North Qld. We are approx 250kms south of Cairns.Facilities at Forrest Beach include Medical Centre, SPAR supermarket, 1 deli, a Post Office, and a modern recently renovated hotel. Our house is 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom with small yard and a garden that requires little maintenance. We have a large covered rear patio with BBQ’s. In Feb/March, the yard will require little watering but will need mowing, due to the annual wet season. We have most comforts including subscription TV, broadband internet with computer and ample parking All bedrooms are air conditioned however only 2 are setup as bedrooms, lounge area also air-conditioned. We have an inground saltwater pool that needs only a little attention. We also have a desexed female dog 13 years, that goes with the house. She is very people friendly but not good with small children or other dogs.All facilities are available in Ingham 18kms away & Townsville only 90mins by car.We are looking for a mature couple that would enjoy life in our small town, & are pool savvy. Fishing & crabbing is excellent, with 2 ramps in town & the Famous Hinchinbrook channel only 30 mins drive. The weather in Feb/March is the tropical wet season Temperatures range from approx 20 degrees at night up to about 33 during the day. For suitably qualified/licensed drivers a car would be available with the house & we can pick up from Townsville airport if you decide to fly in. We need to leave by Jan 16th 2013 & can be back home by March 12th if necessary. If required, we can get away earlier & return a little later to suit your needs.
