We are looking for a responsible housesitter to care for our home and our cats while we are out of the country for 4 months. Our home is beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom ranch with a large yard in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. We are located in Des Peres, MO, a suburb of St. Louis. Perfect for someone who wants a nice quiet, relaxing place to come home to everyday but still wants to be close to all the action St. Louis has to offer. St. Louis is a beautiful city with much to offer including an abundance of free cultural activities including an art museum, history museum, science center, botantical gardens and a zoo. In addition there is also a beautiful symphony orchestra and several theatres including the famous Fox Theatre. St. Louis is also home to 3 major league sports teams, the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and the St. Louis Blues. 6 universities and several colleges call St. Louis home. There is a vibrant music scene here in St. Louis with several major music venues that attract all the major concert tours as well as an excellent array of local music. There is never a lack of things going on in our city. St. Louis offers its residents a wonderful blend of a quiet Midwest lifestyle and all the features of a major city. Our home is situated in the heart of the central corridor close to several major freeways giving you easy access to everything St. Louis has to offer. You can be downtown in just minutes or out of the city enjoying a nice hike in just minutes as well. We are walking distance to a mall, a large new grocery store, several restaurants and a beautiful park that offers walking paths, tennis courts, a playground and duck pond. The housesitter we select will be responsible for caring for our 2 cats in our absence. They are indoor only cats who are used to having us home every day. Responsibilities will including giving our diabetic cat an insulin shots each day (its very easy to do), making sure they have fresh water and are properly fed every day, scooping/changing the kitty litter and providing them loving attention. Responsibilities: Care for our 2 cats including one who is diabetic and requires a daily insulin shot. Keep litter clean and changed as needed. Care for our home including keeping it clean and well maintained. Water house plants. Water outside gardens once the weather warms up. Mow and water the lawn once weather warms up. Shovel snow during the colder months. Bring in the mail. Requirements: Adult, non-smoker. Willing and able to fulfill the responsibilities listed above.
