We live in a small apartment block in the West End, downtown Vancouver. Short walk to 3 grocers, MANY restaurants, pubs, cafes. Steps from the beach, seawall and Stanley park.
Most important to us is that you REALLY love and understand cats. We have a very friendly boy who enjoys hanging out with us and getting lots of attention. Our other baby is very sweet natured but also very timid. He will hide for the first day or two and needs to approach you on his own terms. He is not aggresive at all - he just runs away until he he is confident you are not there to eat him. He enjoys cuddles from his mama, but is still even timid around the papa.
Beacause of this, please understand that preference is for a single female to house sit.
I work from home a lot, so they are used to having one of us around quite often. We certainly don't expect our sitter to be home all day, but we don't want the cats left by themselves for really long hours. They eat mostly wet food, usually three times a day. They can be left kibble as needed, but it is not our norm to just fill a bowl in the morning and consider them fed.
Our apartment is in a small friendly block, quiet for the most part, but yes, we do hear the neighbours. We have fast internet, Netflix, no cable. Coin laundry. Street parking, but difficult to find a spot as most of it is permit only or only 2 hours at a time. So - it would be fair to say "no parking" to be realistic.

PS - an added bonus would be if you lived near Vancouver and enjoyed coming in on weekends as we are often looking for weekend care. We do have a very lovely girl (who we found on this site) who usually comes, but she does travel a lot as well. Thanks!
