We are seeking someone to house and cat sit in our home from about Aug. 1 through Sept. 29, 2012, who is a responsible, neat, clean, non-smoker, fond of cats, and preferably one who plans to be in the house daily.
We live in the tree-filled neighborhood of Somerset in Chevy Chase, MD, a suburb of Washington DC and within walking distance ( minutes) to the metro, supermarket/s, shops, Bethesda, MD and NW Washington DC.
Pool & tennis courts in the town are within a few minutes walk and there is on-street free parking in front of the house.
Duties: JoJo, the cat (who is a gentle lap cat) requires feeding, litter box duty, brushing, and play. Weekly recycling cart would need to taken to the curb.
We would continue to pay for twice a week house cleaning, and regular lawn and garden care from our long-time housekeeper and gardener.
The house-sitter would live in our home rent-free (with no financial compensation) with all utilities and Wi-Fi provided. Phone calls nationally are provided; international calls are not included. We do not have cable.
Security deposit, references and house sitting agreement required. Face-to-face interview preferred.
