Our home is a modest sized log cabin nestled up to the National Forest so there is lots of hiking right out the door. We are a 15 minute drive to downtown Santa Fe, Trader Joe's, plentiful restaurants, museums and good stuff.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs need a daily hike. One of our dogs is a youngster (1 year) and loves lots of walks & play.
For winter house-sitting, there may be some times that the road is snowy or muddy so ideally a house-sitter has experience with four wheel drive. Also, although the dogs have an outdoor yard, they can't spend too many hours outside when it's cold, so we need someone who would be at the house during at least part of each day.
We have wifi, great star-gazing & a hot tub to enjoy. Great sunsets.
