We are primarily looking for someone to stay with and care for our dog while we are out of town. We also need someone to tend to our two chickens and our fish tank.
The dog is spunky six year-old terrier mix named Sir Scotty Scruffington. We take him outside to potty three times a day, and we exercise/play with him every day. We feed him twice a day. He sleeps at the foot of our bed and has full run of the house. He can be high energy, but with a little attention he mellows out. He's funny and sweet and weird, and he'll wiggle his way into your heart in no time.
The chickens are Amelia and Big Mama Red. They're pretty low maintenance, as are the fish. We'd also like you to water some plants (including container herb garden on kitchen deck).
Our house is on Saint Louis Heights. It's centrally located, a minute drive to Wakiki, downtown, the beach, you name it. We have great views of Diamond Head.
You'll have access to the main house which has 2 floors, 1 bedroom with a Queen bed, a TV room, a living room, a study, a kitchen/dining room, an "I don't know what it is" room, 2.5 bathrooms, and a laundry nook. Downstairs there is a door separating the main house from a "wing" that contains more rooms, among them an office that our semi-retired parents use during the day. There is another home on the back of the property where our parents live; therefore, you will probably cross paths with them now and then, but there's still a lot of privacy.
We'll be leaving town on June 9 and returning on July 6. Ideally, you would arrive on June 8 so we can help you settle in and get to know Scotty (there's a guest bedroom in the wing).
