We are a quiet couple in our 40s who will be traveling for two separate trips in December: Dec and Dec Although it would be ideal to have the same housesitter for both trips, we would consider two different housesitters.
We have four indoor female cats who are used to having humans around and get lonely when we go out of town. We've always had great success with house/petsitters in the past and have found that either a single person or a quiet, low-key couple are the best fit.
The kitties are low-maintenance for the most part - just the basic food, water, and litter box changing. They have a lovely screened-in porch where they spend their days. One of our cats is a 12-year old traumatized rescue sweetie who needs to be handled with kid gloves i.e. extremely gently. She doesn't need a lot of care per se since she mostly keeps to herself - but someone who is low-key and gentle would be great. We can only pet her head and only at certain times.
Non-smokers only, thanks!
Our home is a quiet modest bungalow on the beautiful and residential Isle of Hope location in Savannah GA. You can enjoy nice walks near the water (not beach, but it is very pretty.) Close to shops and all conveniences. About 20-minutes from downtown historic Savannah and 45-minutes from the beach. You would need a car and would be welcome to borrow our bikes.
