We are seeking a sitter(s) for two dogs aged 17 and 13. Both healthy, just old. Cam, the older dog, is definitely slowing down but still lovable and contented. They enjoy a short walk once a day.
We are looking for someone (couple is fine) for any time between 1-6 weeks from August 22 onward. The reason for the wide difference in time is because we have family who can help out for some of these weeks if necessary.
The dogs need to go out every 4-5 hours. If the temperature is in the 70s and dry, the dogs can be left outside for a while. I realize you might want full days out from time to time so family members are happy to come in on those days and let the dogs out. We live in a 3-bedroomed house in a quiet cul-de-sac
You will need a car but there is also an excellent Uber network. We live app. 12 miles from downtown Richmond. A Food Lion is 1 mile away, a brand new Wegmans and a Kroger are no more than 2-3 miles away, and Rockwood Park is 1.5 miles. Colonial Williamsburg is an hour away, Washington DC is a little less than two hours to the main sights.
The beautiful James River runs through the heart of Richmond. This area is steeped in history and with its many parks, botanical gardens, art and science museums, lively art scene and excellent restaurants, there is plenty to see and do. If you decide to add vacation time to your trip, Colonial Williamsburg is only an hour by car, Washington DC less than two hours. Virginia has wine country, Blue Ridge Mountains, and Virginia Beach.
