Hi. We live in the bush at Canyonleigh. We would love someone who can look after our beautiful dog and take him for a walk and keep him company, feed our chickens and water the garden and plants. This is a very easy job and you will in return receive the treat of living out in the bush and having total peace and quiet.
Our dog Puppy, is a Staffy and is the most beautiful, happy dog, he loves people and loves being cuddled. He also loves having company. He is a country dog and stays on the property, he is happy there when you go out, just loves someone to wait at home for in the afternoon.
Watering the garden is easy as we have a watering system and you need to also use the hose for a bit of the garden. Pulling out a few weeds would be helpful, not a big job.
There is so much to do and see around the southern highlands, enough for 3 weeks of sightseeing and returning to the bush for peace and quiet. There are many bush walks to gorges and waterfalls, wineries, little villages, Kiama and the beach is only and hour away. You need to be happy to live in the middle of nowhere, with wombats eating in the garden at night, cockatoos and lorakeets, kangaroos etc.
Closest town is moss vale which is 20 mins away. Bowral is 35 mins and is the hub of the southern highlands, with beautiful shops and cafe's. We have a great general store, which you can go to for lunch or coffee and that has wonderful friday and saturday night meals so that you can meet the locals,it is 7 mins from the house.
We have a 4 bedroom house, it is not luxurious, we are still working on certain areas but very lovely and comfortable, with 2 verandahs that we just live on.
We love living out here, all you can hear is the bush sounds of a day and night, there is absolutely no noise.
It is very dry and hot this time of year and so we also keep water out around the place for the wild life.
This would be an amazing stay for anyone who would like something a bit different , with lots to see and do and to experience the Australian bush.!
