I am looking for a pet sitter that can care for my pets while I am away. Provisional dates will be from around the 21st June until the 3rd August (dates have yet to be confirmed and the sit may be for less time). I need somebody that can look after 3 dogs (2 labradors and a podenco x lab), a cat, and 2 pet rats. The sitter needs to be experienced with controlling dogs as my male lab can pull on the leash and he is a heavy, strong dog (approx 32kg). All dogs are very friendly with people but occasionally the male can bark at other dogs while outside (but doesn't tend to be aggressive). The podenco will be travelling to Scotland on the 11th July so the petsitter will need to take her to the vets for her 2nd rabies vaccination on the 24th June, then to the vets again for her tapeworm treatment and to have her passport signed on the 10th July then to hand her over to the pet courier on the 11th July. The vet appointments have all been booked and paid for so the petsitter just needs to turn up for the appointments and the courier has also been booked and paid for so you only need to hand the dog to the pet courier. The vet speaks some English and the courier is English so it is not necessary to be able to speak Spanish.
I have a 4 bed house in Algarrobo, Spain (Malaga province). We are only a 5 minute drive to the coast. The village itself has shops, banks, cafe's and bars. On the coast there are several supermarkets (Lidl, Mercadona, Dia) as well as chinese bazaars, vets and a larger selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom available for the sitter. The house has one bathroom (with shower), a utility room, front patio and a terrace to enjoy a coffee in the sun. We have an internet tv box so you can enjoy tv (in most languages). I also have a car that can be used by the petsitter during their stay.
The village is quite hilly so if you have mobility problems then this house wouldn't be suitable for you. There is no parking at the house so the car is parked in the car park (free) and it is a short walk from the car park to the property. The house is an old spanish house and can sometimes have problems with damp (especially in the bathroom) so you will need to ensure the bathroom window is opened to ventilate the bathroom after the shower. The internet is ok when plugged direct into router but the wifi doesn't reach all areas of the house.
