We live in an older established (built 1970's) neighborhood with lots of mature Live Oak & other trees, nice neighbors & just minute drive to downtown Austin (The Live Music Capital of the World) where you will find lots of restaurants, bars, shops & the University of Texas at Austin. We would allow use of one of our cars.
There is a Grocery store 5 minutes away & a huge shopping complex 10 minutes away. There are also fairly nearby city bus stops & several ride share options if you wish to avoid the hassle & expense of downtown parking.
If live music isn't your thing there are wonderful museums, parks, hiking, wineries, breweries, distilleries, & lots of interesting day trip options. We can give you lots of suggestions.
If you just want to "hang" (which our little (20lb) mixed breed (whippet/terrier??) Ricky would certainly like) our home is cozy & our back yard patio with pool is pleasant (sorry, pool isn't heated in winter).
We would need you to feed & walk Ricky twice a day (his schedule is flexible) & he will probably want to sleep with you since he is kind of a wuss :-). We would need you to turn the pool filter on & off (& maybe the polaris vacuum) & empty the leaf catcher & perhaps scoop up some leaves. Also just keep the house clean & bring in the mail & Sunday paper, put out the trash & recycling weekly &, depending on the weather, perhaps water some outdoor plants.
We'd like someone to come a day early (Jan.4) so we could show you around & introduce you to Ricky's routine. The actual date of our trip are: Depart the morning of Jan. 5th & return the afternoon of Jan. 13th
Our home is a small 3 bdr (one bdr is an office), 2 bath house with a pleasant back yard & patio.
