I will be out of the country for three months (March 17 - June 18, 2019) and need someone (only one person) to take care of my adorable and sweet 11-year-old 10 lb. shih tzu/maltese.
My West Asheville neighborhood is a very friendly walking community. Every year it gets voted 'Favorite Neighborhood." It even received national recognition as one of the most 'hip' neighborhoods in the U.S. Everything you need is walking distance from my house -- grocery store, health food store, farmer's market, yoga studio, Gold's Gym, interesting little stores and galleries and lots of restaurants, coffee/tea places and music venues. The River Arts District and downtown Asheville are less than five minutes from my house. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 15 minutes away.
I rent out my 2 bedroom/2 bath house. When I am not traveling I stay in the basement studio apartment that has a separate entrance in the backyard. The apartment is small, but very cozy. I am an artist and energy healer and have managed to create a nice sanctuary. Even my burly contractors comment on how cool the apartment looks and feels. Before I started renting my house out, I had a tenant in the apartment for years - he loved it!
You would be staying in the apartment. It is an open design, and includes a full kitchen and bathroom with a shower. The full daybed can be used as a couch or bed. The kitchen has a table and two chairs. There is a little porch where you can relax on my comfy outdoor recliner chair. (It even reclines far enough to take a nap on it). You can also enjoy amazing healing and relaxing sessions on my chakra sound vibration table. WiFi is great. Also have cable TV with premium channels, TV & DVD player. There are two racks with hooks over doors and three standing racks, giving you a total of 50 hooks for hanging your clothes. I will also clear a small three-shelf bookcase and a small wooden stand with four shelves and four larger shelves in the bathroom. There is also a medicine cabinet in the bathroom for your use.
My dog Gordito is easy -going. I feed him three times a day; he goes out to the backyard twice a day for potty breaks and has one to two walks a day (he doesn't like to poop in our yard). When the weather is nice he loves to hang out in the backyard. He also loves to play catch with his squeaky toys. I give him lots of hugs, kisses and talk to him a lot. He sleeps in his own bed, but also likes to hang out on the daybed with me. Normally he just curls up and goes to sleep. If he is needing more connection, he will snuggle up to you and make sure his body is touching your body at all times. (It is very sweet)
Since I rent out the house, you will need to be mindful of noise at night and early mornings. When I am here my house tenants tell me they never hear me or Gordito.
I look forward to hearing from you.
