Start dates negotiable. We are looking for a house sitter for Christmas (and also later in Spring) who wants to relax and spend time with our pets (one cat who like cuddles, our dog who like cuddles, and some very friendly fish). We are in amazing walking/cycling country - by what is becoming known as the Surrey Wine trail in the Surrey Hills AONB. Blackheath, Winterfold, Pitch Hill, Holmbury Hill and Leith Hill all a short drive or strenuous hike away. Cranleigh "village" shops are around 20 mins easy walk away or 5 mins by car and there are also walks in the woods directly opposite us. Black down and the Devils Punch Bowl, and Thursley nature reserve are 25 to 30 mins drive away. Guildford with its theatre and fantastic shops and station is around 20 mins by car although there is a bus service so you don't have to have a car.
The house is modern in a traditional style and warm, and the room on offer to the sitter is south facing and overlooks the woods with its own ensuite bathroom.

We have super fast broadband and home office facilities that can be used (printer, large screen monitors). There is Sky HD (with Sports and Cinema) Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. There is a garden but in winter this is not likely to need any TLC unless there is a storm, in which case our patio pots and some trees may need propping up.
Feeding (twice daily), care and cuddles for our pets and at least two 30 minute, preferably 60 min gentle walks a day for our dog are essential. Our dog ( a non shedding Cockapoo) had an operation earlier this year on her leg and must not walk for more than two hours a day and is limited to only 10 ball throws spread out over the day!
Fibally, you won't be isolated as this large modern house is on a development but it is very quiet and peaceful.
