We have a nice house on a quiet, wooded street located in the Lake Claire neighborhood, which is just east of Druid Hills and south of Emory University in Atlanta. We're a half mile from a MARTA (rapid transit) train station as well as on a busline. We have three cats (one outdoor, two indoor) which need companionship and care while we backpack in the Rocky Mountains from June through mid-September, Two Thousand Five. Our tiny front yard needs to be mowed regularly. (The backyard is mostly ivy-covered.) We have a few indoor plants to water.
There is always a slight possibility that unexpected illness, injury or other crisis might shorten our journey and require us to return home before September fifteenth. However we've made several of these extended backpacking trips before and expect to be away the entire time. If we were to have to return early, we would not mind sharing the house with our housesitter for a reasonable amount of time.
The starting and ending dates are somewhat flexible and can be negotiated based on mutual needs.
