I have a medium to large 1 bed/1 bath apartment in a great neighborhood in San Francisco - Cole Valley. It's one of 5 flats in a well-maintained building. The neighbors are friendly and considerate. The apartment is sunny and spacious, with a working fireplace (often used during the summer months, believe it or not!). There is a new queen bed (Tempur-pedic), wireless DSL, cable TV with DVR (like Tivo), fully equipped kitchen, and pay-use washer and dryer in the basement. There is a little garden in the back for all to use (no BBQ, unfortunately). The building is on a corner, directly in front of Muni bus line #6. There is unfortunately no designated parking spot, but there is often parking in the neighborhood, especially if you don't mind walking up the nearby hill. There is a maintenance man on-call for the building who is very helpful. I have a cleaner who comes in every 2 weeks - this can be continued at your cost ($60/visit) or suspended while I'm gone. Utilities average $50/month, cable is $109/month, and phone/wireless internet is $50/month. These fees are negotiable.
The apartment is central to 3 neighborhoods: Cole Valley - a small, charming neighborhood with great restaurants; Haight - quirky, eclectic, interesting; 9th and Irving - similar to Cole Valley, with more restaurants and shopping.
I have two wonderful, fun, loving cats - Leo and Isabella. They are usually fed raw food that I buy from a specialty store (which I will supply), but they can eat dry food once in a while. They can be left up to 3 days on their own with a dry-food feeder. They are young (2 years) and healthy and likely won't need vet visits (unless Leo swallows more shoestrings...).
I will be traveling to Italy for the 2 months and will be completely accessible for all questions/issues.
I look forward to finding the right person for this house-sit opportunity!
