Do you adore cats??? If so, please consider staying in our lovely home to take care of our gorgeous cats while we are away for 10 days.
We are in the pretty village of Billesdon, which is about nine miles east of Leicester, just off the A47 heading to Uppingham and Peterborough. Billesdon is surrounded by lovely rolling farm land. In the village there are a number of buildings dating from the seventeenth century, built in ironstone, and some with thatched roofs.
We are on a quiet no through road about 100 yards from the village green where there is a small shop, hairdressers and a doctors’ surgery. The local pub is another two hundred yards, where they serve good food at lunch time and in the evenings. There is a parish church a short walk further.
There is a bus that travels into Leicester/Uppingham every day and stops at the village green.
The property dates from around 1805 and was originally two terraced cottages that have been converted into one dwelling. It has recently undergone substantial renovations and featured in the February issue of 25 Beautiful Homes.
Now for the best part--we have five cats, two boys and three girls. Our cats make us a truly international family, with two of the girls and one boy (Muscat, Phaedra and Bishop) from Australia and the boy (Rupert) and the other girl (Abby) from France. They get along well most of the time, but Rupert and Bishop have had some fisticuffs. They all have access to the garden as they like.
We hope to find a true cat person (or cat people) to do this housesit, as our five cats are so enjoyable to be around that we want someone who can really appreciate this experience!
