Late June in Portland is pretty wonderful! And you can have the luxury of being here for nearly a week in the company of the delightful and lovely kitty, Lucie Belle.
Our humble one-bedroom abode is located nearly equidistant between the neighborhoods of Hillsdale and Raleigh Hills in SW Portland with easy access to the bus (the 54 gets you right downtown and the stop is only about 3 blocks from your door) and downtown. There are three bars/restaurants three block down the street as well! And a great acupuncture place Working Class Acupuncture is just across the main drag of Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. Grocery stores are plentiful in this neighborhood though the nearest and dearest to me is the Albertsons about a half mile away. Some of the best fried chicken in town! Hillsdale is a lovely little townish spot with lots of restaurants and shopping and the library! Multnomah Village is a hop skip and a jump away and has all kinds of shops and food as well. One of my very favorite cafes in town Marcos has been a brunch staple since before brunch was a thing!
The apartment is simple as is Lucie's care. While I don't have wifi, I do have a great big screen tv and a fun collection of DVDs. The kitchen is small but completely functional and fun. There is coin-op laundry on site, and you can park anywhere in the lot. If you want to give the plants in the pots a drink, they'll be pretty happy with you.
I leave June 26 for California and will return the 2nd of July in the evening. I'm looking for a housesitter who requires no remuneration and does not smoke, please!
