No airline ticket yet, but would like to leave either June 19 or 20th and could return on June 25th or if you'd like to stay longer would prefer an extra week or two. Looking for a couple - or a single person - who would like to spend time in the Texas hill country and the resort town of New Braunfels. I have two cats. One is older and an indoor cat who sleeps most of the day. She'll require having her litter box cleaned and making sure she has food and water and maybe one pill a day. I have a second cat who has adopted us. That cat comes in at night - sleeps inside and then goes outside during the day. In addition, I have a friendly dog who needs to go out a few times a day. When people are gone, she stays in her crate with no problems. I am trying to arrange a trip to see my daughter but don't have the ticket yet - hoping to leave June 19th or 20th. As mentioned, I could return late on June 24th - or, if you are available for longer, and all seems ok I would probably like to extend another week or two. If you want to come a day or two before that's fine. I'm fairly flexible but would definitely be looking at the time June at a minimum. Contact me and we can discuss.
Beautiful location right outside the small city of New Braunfels. There is a lot to do in New Braunfels and now things have opened up. Hopefully you have your vaccination (I have had mine since February). Beautiful park downtown, the town of Gruene with music all the time and a downtown area with many antigue shops. A couple or a single person would work. The house is set up so that my bedroom is on the other side from the other two bedrooms, which is where you would be staying - with a private bath as well.
My home is fairly close to downtown New Braunfels (but not close enough to walk so you'd need a car) but sits on 6 wooded acres so you feel like you are really in the country. The house is a good size and you would have your own area with bedroom and bath. You will need a car to get around the area as there is no public transportation (unless you're a bike rider - but it is hot this time of year). New Braunfels has some great tubing and Schlitterbahn Waterpark which is open. Historic towns like Gruene are less than 10 minutes away with the more tubing on the Guadalupe River, Gruene Hall for music and the Grist Mill for dining. San Antonio and Austin are a short driving distance so you can enjoy both city and country while you're here. The weather is great for water sports. Another great town is Wimberley which is the next town over. This would be perfect for a short break to get to know the area or for someone who has friends and would like to spend a few days visiting them.
Looking for someone to housesit free of charge in exchange for having a place to do some visiting in the area. If you're interested, please contact me. Have had many housesitters in the past and it's been a great experience. Look forward to hearing from you.
