I will be traveling from September 29 through October 21, and I would like a house sitter for that time period, to water, bring in mail, take out trash, and care for one indoor cat.
The house is a small historic 1915 Craftsman bungalow, located in Midtown Sacramento in a tree- lined residential neighborhood. It is within walking distance of parks, restaurants, shops, the American River, Sutter's Fort, and downtown Sacramento. Being in an urban area, there is traffic noise.
The house has two bedrooms (double bed in one bedroom and a double-size sofabed in the second bedroom, which is used as an office) and one bathroom, with shower over clawfoot tub. It doesn't have all the modern conveniences, but there is satellite TV (living room and bedroom), stereo system, a home office (computer with dial- up internet access, copier, fax, shredder, etc.), washer & dryer, dishwasher, and lots of books. I have weekly yard service and an every-other-week housekeeper, so minimal upkeep is required, mostly cat care, watering, and clean-up as you go along.
The house is nonsmoking, and no visiting pets or overnight guests, please.
