We live on a thirty-five acre property about 20 minutes drive from Bendigo and 10 minutes from Lake Eppalock in central Victoria. The property is secluded and quiet and bordered on three sides by state park and nature reserve. We live in a large mudbrick residence that is colonial in design and surrounded by dry stone walls. We have three dams with one situated directly in front of the house. This dam has an island. Apart from abundant wildlife we also have our own animals. We have three horses, geese (they live on the island), 2 cats, one dog, 2 chooks, 2 ducks and 'a partridge in a pear tree'. We plan to take a four week holiday starting around April 8 this year. Charlie the dog is pretty old so we may have family look after him. That leaves the horses, geese, chooks, ducks and cats to be looked after. This is not a lot of work, just feeding and monitoring. The internal garden is great but will need some watering. This is a fabulous house and location and we would prefer a mature couple or individual with a love for animals as carers. They would need to have horse experience. The horses are fine but they free- range on the property and are like pets. Payment would be considered for the right.
