We are looking preferably for retirees to care for our home in this quiet condominium community on the water while we are on a prolonged stay abroad.
The ideal candidate would enjoy organic gardening and applying permaculture, natural farming concepts to a tropical gardening. We have two small native plant garden beds which include a banana plant and a young orange tree, perennials and culinary herbs. Trimming, weeding is needed.
Sitter Requirements include being available from June 22nd through Beginning of October, return date to be defined as departure nears. We ask you sign a house sit agreement similar to ones found on this site.
Tasks: watering, weeding garden, checking for mail, keeping the home clean. We also need someone willing to keep us informed through once a week report/pictures on house and garden, any issues, news, updates , and WhatsApp required.
Amenities: Our ground floor condominium has one bedroom, one full bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fully air conditioned, WIFI /Ethernet Internet, basic cable TV, and free parking on the grounds. The enclosed lanai views the garden and looks onto the canal about 100 feet from door. You can fish, bird watch and put a canoe/kayak in the water.
There are community tennis courts and pool on site.
Important Remarks:
1. Because the HOA does not allows dogs, no candidate with dogs may be considered.
2. Due to the number of messages offering service and in order to expedite candidate vetting, no candidate without a profile photo of themselves and house site references on profile will be considered.
Neighborhood: The condo is located 3 blocks to beach on the Gulf. Bus serves the beach communities and runs into Clearwater on the half hour. Within a few blocks. there are bike/jogging lanes along main boulevard, bike rentals, bus stop, restaurants, cafes, small groceries, Post office, CVS and a natural reserve park.
