This is a 4600 square foot home in Barton Creek. It is a beautiful home in immaculate condition in a quiet gated community. It has its own pool. The master bedroom is large and includes an oversized (two person) Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.
We need a housesitter because we have moved out of the home and it is listed for sale. We need a responsible person or couple to care for our home as it is on the market. This would include taking care of the yard and the pool and ensuring that the house is clean and ready to be shown at all times. Open houses are regularly held on Sunday afternoon, requiring the sitter to leave the property for 3-4 hours. Otherwise, showings will involve a call first, which may require vacating the property for a short time on an hour's notice.
The term is indefinite, but we would provide at least 2-3 weeks notice to vacate once the house is sold. We expect the term will be at least months.
Must be nonsmokers, no pets or children. Must be willing to take care of the yard and the pool.
This is a nonpaid house-sit. We will pay for electricity, water and gas. If you wish cable and phone to be connected, that will be an expense for the sitter to cover. If the phone is connected, we can provide a landline phone for the sitter's use.
The house is furnished on the first floor only. It includes a king-sized bed in the master bedroom with dresser and side tables, living room furniture in two living rooms, formal dining room furniture, a desk in the office, and bar stools in the kitchen. There is no television in the home.
The house also has a Yamaha grand piano in the formal living room. It is acceptable for the sitter to play the piano, although it probably needs tuning.
There is no washer or dryer. It is acceptable for the sitter to rent a washer/dryer and move them into the home.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gourmet refrigerator, double oven, gas cooktop and microwave.
We would require a negotiable deposit.
