We are an almost 60 year old couple living on an 18 acre bush block in Mandurang South near Bendigo. Our property borders National Park with plenty of fantastic bushwalking options. We have two very lazy dogs who just like to hang-out and we will also be looking after our daughters dog who is equally lazy. They really don't take much looking after, just feeding once a day and be allowed to sleep inside at night. We also have one ageing horse who may need feeding once a day and four ageing chooks who also need feeding. We have a lovely three bedroom, split level mud- brick house which we built ourselves several years ago. This has all modern facilities, furniture etc. and a bit on the contemporary side. We are very proud of our house and maintain neat and clean conditions. Next to the house we also have a studio (for my textile arts) and various sheds for my vintage- motor-bike-fanatic husband. We have a very large, lovely garden with sprinkler systems installed. This should require very little watering at this time of year. Some pots may need watering occasionally. We are not on town water but have tanks, dams and bore water. One small dam (part of the landscaping with water-lilys, frogs etc) is close by with a tea house and hammock for extra relaxation. We are about 10km from the regional centre of Bendigo (pop 100,000). Our property is at the end of a short dirt road surrounded by bush, plenty of wildlife and is extremely peaceful. We would like to hear from anyone who loves animals and gardens and is looking for a quiet time.
