You'll need your own car, but the main thing is our cat. He was just diagnosed with lymphoma, had a surgery to remove a tumor and will start chemotherapy right when we planned our vacation. His vet is nearby and probably won't require any visits or medication, but we needed someone to be home to monitor for side effects or emergencies. We live 2 miles from the metro station (easy to get to airport, DC, and King Street/Old Town Alexandria) and very close to shopping, groceries, highway and jogging paths. Quiet suburban townhouse neighborhood.
