Our home where we live is 200 meters away from the cottage on the same property. The extra cottage is mainly for our family's use who mainly arrive over the summer months, but is currently vacant and we are not expecting any family to arrive in October. It seems a pity to leave the cottage empty between times when it could be loved. There is a small garden to tame. We would like friendly obliging self reliant and resourceful sitters who are able to keep the cottage beautifully clean. Sitters must be able to take their own rubbish to the recycling depot and tip.The water supply is from a 100,000 litre rain water tank. Sitters should be experienced in looking after rain water supplies and pumps. The cottage is freshly painted inside and has easy care polished cork flooring inside. The cottage has a satellite internet connection if you bring your own computer. There is also a TV aerial, but TV reception is patchy. There is a sunny deck from which you can watch the birdlife instead! In return for free accommodation, duties of house sitters are: -Keep cottage beautifully clean -start taming the two small garden beds at the cottage and there is some whipper snipping to keep up with round the cottage only (while the cottage is vacant, we attend to the whipper snipping next to the cottage ourselves) - check rain water tank - gravity fed header tank to top up with pump from main tank - check gas bottles and let us know when one needs replacing - assist with any minor maintenance which occurs in the cottage during your stay - any offers to assist with any minor improvements you notice could be made to the cottage during your stay will be enthusiastically received! We are 38 kilometers from Albany and 25 kilometers from Denmark on the South Coast of WA. The cottage is also available for house swap if you have a house in Fremantle, Cottesloe or nearby suburb.
