We need someone to housesit and care for our 12 year old miniature schnauzer who has diabetes. We would prefer someone that would be interested on an ongoing basis, maybe fairly local, for consistancy, as we travel fairly often. Our boy is very loving and well behaved and is used to being spoiled. He needs three - four small walks daily, and likes to play with his toys in the evening. We would also need plants watered. Our 6 year old home is in a lovely rural area, a five minute walk to the beach, 15 minute drive to Parksville and 20 minutes to Nanaimo. Our boy requires two small injections per day. It is not difficult to do (if I can do it, anyone can). He doesn't feel the needle. However, it is very important that his meal and medication are given at specific times.
