SITTER/S REQUIRED IN HISTORIC REGIONAL CITY We are looking for responsible house sitters to care for our 2 dogs and our home (2 bedrooms).
We have a 15 year old Maltese-Shitzu, Mollie, and a 10 year old Labrador, Suzie. Both are very friendly and healthy with no behaviour issues. Because our yard is very small, at least one long walk every day will be mandatory.
Our house is a very comfortable modern open-plan home in the suburbs of Ballarat. It is equipped with air conditioning, ducted heating and a modern kitchen. It is very close to a shopping centre and railway station. It's just a 10 minute drive from the centre of historical Ballarat.
We have not yet put in a garden, so no garden care is required, but the weeds will need whipper snipping or spraying to keep them under control.
Ballarat is steeped in gold-rush history. It has many beautiful heritage buildings and is home to the famous 'Sovereign Hill' recreated village and beautiful Lake Wendouree. Centrally located, a drive of just an hour or so takes you to Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo or the Pyrenees wine region. The beautiful and renowned Grampians mountain range is within 120km of Ballarat.
This assignment would suit a retired but active couple, a single person or a small family. The chosen sitter/s must be non-smoking and not drug users.
$400 bond (refundable) is required but no other costs apply. References and police check essential. We would consider breaking the time into two 6/7 week sits.
