We’re going away for 2 nights in March to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We leave on Saturday 20th and will be back on the Monday afternoon. so it's a 2-night stay.
We have 3 border collies (2 boys age 10 and a girl age 6) and 2 cats (a boy age 6 and a girl age 16!). We basically need someone to stay at the house, and be there during the day and in the evenings. They’re VERY spoiled, and used to having us around a lot. Our dogs are very clear about their role as our PETS – including their right to sleep on the couch and bed. They are scared of thunder and lightning (we're from the Cape) and need someone there to reassure them when there's a storm.
They are used to getting walked every day but they can be a handful, so just spending time playing with them is more than enough while we're away.
Our neighbourhood is quiet, peaceful and safe. We have a 3-bedroom house with a linked alarm (to ADT), and we have secure offstreet parking. We also have DStv, which is a boon given the rubbish on SABC!
