Kuranda - the village in the rain forest is 30 kms up a windy mountain road inland from Cairns. The priority is to look after a gentle 11 year old golden retriever with love and kindness. He loves company and stays mostly indoors. He has a few foibles so he needs some understanding, e.g. he will bark loudly (in a friendly tone) to tell you what he wants and he pulls on the lead when walked, though he does respond to a gentle talking to. He loves to get out for a short walk if you can handle him, though nothing too strenuous as he has arthritis. The house is set on a rain forest block 5 mins from the main village. The village is a great tourist attraction with Skyrail, the Scenic Railway, wildlife parks, and lots of art and craft markets, Barron Falls and of course lots of rainforest plants and creatures including the Ulysses butterfly. We would like to hear about your housesitting experience and references thanks.
