This ad may seem familiar to some.
Unfortunately, the lady who I had selected to house sit for us has let me down and after accepting, has advised she can't look after our house now. So, am re-posting the ad.
We live on 5 acres on the outskirts of a small country town 40 mins from Surfers Paradise and 1 hr from Brisbane. We have a menagerie of animals to look after but aside from feeding morning and evening, the rest of the day would be yours. Our inside animals: 3 dogs - a 4yr old very quiet and beautifully trained rottweiler; a 1 yr old border collie and a 1yr old tri-colour jack russell. All are females and hate being separated from each other. They are treated as part of the family, not really as pets and all they ask is your company. We also have a 1yr old cat who thinks he is a dog and as such is much more comfortable playing with the dogs than you would think. There are also 2 cockatiels and a fish tank. Outside: we have 2 ex-pacer horses who require some feeding during the summer months depending on the amount of rain and sunshine we've had. We also have 2 goats who only require feeding but love it if you have a chat to them and feed them carrots and apples. 8 chooks finish off the menagerie and they provide fresh eggs daily. In the local area are a few wineries, Lamington National Park and the arts and crafts hub of Mt Tamborine. Around us, is Beaudesert and the Kerry Valley as well as the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Our home is quiet with lovely neighbours who are more than happy to lend a hand if you run into trouble but otherwise will be just as happy to leave you to your own devices.
