Nanaimo and area has a population of 80,000 and has beautiful beaches, sea walks, parks, theatres, restaurants and golf courses. It is located 2 hours north of Victoria and Vancouver is easily accessible in 1.5 hours by ferry or 20mins by floatplane. The ferry terminal is within 10mins. of our house Mt. Washington ski resort is 1.5hours north.
Our home is a great base for exploring both the surrounding ruggedness (oceans and mountains)of the West Coast (i.e. Tofino, North Island, etc.) and the cosmopolitan life of larger cities such as Vancouver (host of the 2010 Winter Olympics) and Victoria (Provincial Capital). Nanaimo hosts many large city amenities, yet still holds small city charm and appeal.
Our primary concern is to know we have reliable people who will take very good care of our new home.
As we are tidy and clean people who will leave the house in that condition, we would expect the same from our sitters. We are experienced house and pet sitters ourselves and well aware of the importance of treating properties well.
$ per month to cover cost of utilities, cable TV and wireless internet.
We look forward to hearing from people desiring a couple months here, perhaps relocating, or just wanting to escape the snow and cold.
