We are spending time in the mountains for 4 nights in early January 2023.
We have one lively 5 year old Burmese cat, who needs company and loves attention, so a cat lover is a necessity.
For a short stay the garden would only require some sweeping and any necessary watering, which will of course vary with the weather. (We also have a small greenhouse, which needs to be opened and shut each day.) Our house is quite small and easily maintained; it is well equipped and cool, and very comfortable. The garden is shady and has courtyards, featuring a wall fountain, ideal for summer evenings.
We are very well located: close to public transport (there is a good bus service from Dickson) and the CBD of Civic, a short walk to Dickson Village shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a great cafe across the Downer Oval called "Gang-Gang"- after the ACT's faunal emblem. We are also close to parks and bushland reserves. Canberra has excellent art galleries, cinemas and museums, which are great for a visit at any time of the year, if you need to be indoors.
