We are driving to Melbourne for 4 nights in early July 2018 from Thursday 5th, returning Monday 9th.
We have one lively young adult Burmese cat, who needs company and demands attention, so a cat lover is a necessity. For a short stay the garden would only require some sweeping and any necessary watering, which will of course vary with the weather. Our house is quite small and easily maintained; it is well equipped and heated, and very comfortable. Our sun-room is a great place for a winter lunch, if you need to be indoors, but Canberra on a clear winter's day is magnificent! We are ideally located: close to public transport (there is a good bus service from Dickson) and the CBD of Civic, a short walk to Dickson shops, cafes and restaurants, And there is now a great cafe across the Downer Oval called "Gang-Gang"- after the ACT's faunal emblem! We are also close to parks and bushland reserves. Canberra has excellent art galleries, cinemas and museums, which are great for a winter visit.
