We are looking for a caretakers from May through July and/or August through October on our 34 acre farmstead. We have a very small garden & half dozen fruit trees & grapes planted. The lawn around the bunkhouse will need mowing. We hope to have guinea fowl, possibly a few chickens & a few grazers before we leave for the summer.
Our peaceful "farm" has a comfortable, restored 1980's mobile home for your use. Lake Ouachita, with 1000 miles of shoreline and extensive trails are within a 20 minute drive. The Caddo River is just two miles away. Montgomery County is 85% national forest, with miles of back roads for biking & wandering.
We have two vintage campers that will be air bnb "glampers" when we get a bath house built. We'll see how much we can accomplish this spring... A caretaker who arrived by April could work on the bath house & chicken coop for pay. It is also possible to work for pay to manage the two glampers. Applicants need to be self-sustaining, as it's an hour's drive to Hot Springs & not a feasible commute for work. Experience as handy man or woman, gardening and animal care are high priorities. Our property is strictly non-smoking.
John & I are (over the years) turning our Honey Bee Haven into a regenerative, sustainable farmstead to share with other nomads.
