I've always put my fabulous boxer, Tonka in free range kenneling situations where he is engaged and playing all day/stays overnight. Unfortunately he now has a back leg condition (similar to arthritis) due to his age (10 which is senior for a boxer) which prevents him from playing and has limited him to slow walks around the block and a lot of downtime lying on the porch. He's still very vibrant and happy. Again - he is an AMAZING, low maintenance, quiet, obedient, happy dog who brings joy to everyone he meets but he's now in "retired" mode. Boulder, Co is amazing. Our 130 year old Victorian house has recently been remodeled. It has A/C, WiFi, Cable and is walkable to downtown (2 blocks to the main pedestrian mall). It's got a nice porch with plenty of people watching yet it's also quiet b/c it's off the main street. We're looking for someone(s) who (1) wants to stay in Boulder for free at our house/be somewhat around throughout the day but def' overnight (2) has experience w/ dogs (3) no young kids or pets travelling w/ them (even though we have a child and Tonka is very gentle, he prefers less chaos these days) (4) is avail . The guest room/bath is on the main floor of the large 2700 sq ft home. There is also a master but it is up some steep stairs so just a FYI. We have A/C, WiFi, cable etc. The house has 2 bedrms (w/ 1 queen and 1 king bed) so it can sleep 1-4 people. We have tons of people that would come over and let him in/out but we'd rather have someone stay with him so he's not alone overnight and bored. This would be a very easy/enjoyable gig since Tonka is still a spirited, happy fun dog despite what one thinks when they hear "older boxer". The house is very nice and again walkable to everything. You wouldn't really need a car. We have used this in the past with great success but unfortunately our past sitters can't make it this time.
