Our waterfront home on Bainbridge Island is a delightful home on a no bank, sandy Northwest beach with a bright sunny southern exposure. We are only a thirty five minute ferry ride away from Seattle. Our home is an architect designed Northwest contemporary with lots of light and a wonderful sandy waterfront, complete with our own custom picnic table. Our kitchen is designed and equipped for the gourmet chef and we have a complete entertainment center. We also have as part of our family two10 year old Norwegian Forest Cats, Annie and Zeke who love companionship, but are quite independent indoor/outdoor cats. They are not only beautiful, but also intelligent and entertaining....my concern is that they need to be inside at night because of the coyotes on Bainbridge Island....although to date it really hasn't been an issue... after 10 years Annie and Zeke think of our neighbors and their yards as part of their extended family.
During the day they come and go as they please, and love to join you on the beach. In the wintertime they stay close by, languishing on the radiant heated floors...but when the sun finally arrives in the Spring they love sitting in the sun outside. In the summertime they spend all day outdoors under favorite bushes, coming in to snack and check on their humans.
We are finally planning on taking a road trip after our llong COVID self-isolation, rendezvousing with family this September and are looking for someone to stay with the cats from August 27th to September 29th....the arrival and departure dates are flexible.
We have had sitters over the last 10 years from New Zealand, Costa Rica, Sweden, Arizona, Texas, Seattle, California, Arizona, Virginia, Vancouver and Victoria, BC, and a couple just passing through on an epic world walkabout. What a great way to see the world!! And get to know two great cats.
Bainbridge is village-like and our neighborhood is very close knit. Our place is a quiet, serene home...and Winslow is our town. It offers a wonderful assortment of stores, with a destination grocery store and lots of small island-owned businesses. The ferry ride into Seattle can be with or without a car...the ferry terminal is right in the middle of downtown Seattle....Pike Place Market is mere blocks away, perfect for a day's destination.
We look forward to meeting new folks, sharing both stories, our home and our furkids. We have a very large en suite guest room, so the beginning and end dates are somewhat flexible....we also have a car available for use in the area, should you need one (many folks arrive by airplane and need to be able to get around).
