We are looking for a house/pet sitter for two weeks from early morning September 22 until the afternoon of October 6th. We live in a modest, West Coast style home in Nanoose Bay on five acres, up on the hill in the rural part of the community. There is a grocery store and strip mall within a 5 minute drive from our home, just across the highway. Nanaimo is a minute drive from our home and Parksville is 10 minutes. Rathtrevor beach is just over a 5 minute drive.
We have two cats. They are mostly outdoor cats that access the house for cuddles and food through their own cat doors. We also have an almost one year old Golden Retriever/Lab puppy. He requires more work than the cats, in that he is still young and is quite energetic and excitable. One of us works at home and so the dog is not used to being left alone for long periods of time.
If you love animals, this may be ideal for you. Our property has a creek at the bottom of it, with a swimming hole (the dog's favourite place to visit), lots of trees, and a very nice deck to enjoy watching eagles. Please let us know if you would be interested.
