Hello, This is my first time considering a house sitter. I'm traveling out of the country for roughly 3 weeks, to Kenya, for an Earthwatch expedition (to help with rhino conservation!). Due to the nature of the expedition, I'll be off the grid for pretty much the entire duration.
Normally I have a very reliable pet sitter who looks in on my two adequately self-sufficient cats. This time, however, I find myself wishing for a bit of company for them while I'm away, because I'd hate to be fretting over my pets while out in the wilderness in Kenya.
I'll continue to pay all the bills (utilities etc.) while I'm away - I don't expect you to foot any of that.
I live in a nice part of town, in an upscale apartment. It's not "out in the suburbs", so maybe a good fit for someone who wants to live in a scenic part of town with easy access to everything.
My pets are healthy and active, no special needs. One of them is very social, and appreciates a friendly hand and a warm lap. The other likes to keep to herself.
I'm looking for someone who will: - Provide basic care and feeding of my pets - Check mail once every few days - Not smoke inside the house - Leave the place more or less as they found it!
