Come enjoy Eugene, Oregon, an eclectic university town, with a rich cultural scene that includes the SHEDD institute, HULT Center for The Performing Arts, the historic U of O campus, plus plenty of active outdoor opportunities: hiking, biking, paddling, birding, skiing (nordic and alpine). Sixty-mile drive west of Eugene thru the coast mountain range will being you to the Oregon Coast, with sand dunes, hiking trails, and charming small towns. Or drive seventy miles east, to the pass at the top of the Oregon Cascades, along a lovely mountain highway. Find plenty of hiking on both the E & W side of the Oregon Cascades. Some call Eugene "Track Town USA". But for me, it is my home-sweet-home-town, friendly, active, respectful, colorful, inclusive
My home sits on a quiet street in the middle of the FAN, Friendly Avenue Neighborhood, one of the more established and desirable areas for long-term residents and homeowners, full of well-cared older homes/gardens with colourful garden alleyways. My home is solidly built, 70 years old, with significant recent remodels adding a sophisticated touch, while still cozy, with a private setting. Two small bedrooms, one of which is my sleeping room, the main loft bedroom, (with short easy stairs, not steep) with my double bed. Small downstairs guest room with a single bed. Private fenced-in backyard with an established shade garden. My home is three miles from the U of O, and one mile from downtown. You can bike, walk, bus. Plenty of on-street parking at my home.
Cats ...Oscar 14 years old, Ziggya younger adopted sis. Kit Luna newest addition to our feline fmaile during 2022.
All are healthy and polite. They love to play/sleep together, explore outside, gaze out windows, and enjoy a warm lap. They have their own cat door, for acess to inside/outside. No cat box duties! Cat lovers only please, no smokers. Arrive one day early please, for orientation and hand-off, stay in my guest room the night before my departure, if you want.
Reference ......I house sat for Cathy 3or4 times and found it to be a wonderful experience (thus repeating the experience again, several times!). Cathy’s 3 cats are very independent, able to go in and out of the house as desired, they are easy to care for. Cathy’s house is clean with all desired amenities and she is easy to work with. Her house is in a great neighborhood with a natural food store within walking distance and bus service nearby. All in all, I would recommend housesitting for Cathy and her cats!! Mary December 2019
And, I have several more references available...
