Hello,
My husband and I travel usually twice to three times a year; this time, we will be leaving for simply 2 nights, (from to 4-6-2), and would need an experienced "non-smoking" pet/house sitter, (preferably a retired senior couple) who "loves" pets, (especially cats), to stay in our home for those 2 nights. The petsitter/or/petsitters (couple) will have their own guest bedroom with a queen bed. They will also have their own bathroom with bathtub + shower and two sinks.
This arrangements could be repeated for a much longer term stay every year if the experience has been a success.
We have 2 cats: Lucy and Pumpkin: 2 female Maine Coons, (Lucy is 1 year and a half old and Pumpkin is 5 and a half years old). Both are very healthy cats.
We live in sunny La Jolla, a coastal area in San Diego/CA. Our house is 2 blocks away from Windansea beach where the surf is relatively gentle and swimmers, snorkelers, scuba divers and surfers can enjoy the waters. Close by, you can walk along the coast and visit La Jolla Cove, La Jolla Shores, and do some "seal watching". There is ample opportunity to hike, bike and kayak in the neighborhood as well.
In addition, restaurants, bars, hair salons, fitness centers, boutique shops, CVS pharmacies and supermarkets are at a close walking distance from our house.
If you decide to stay in the La Jolla neighborhood, you will not need a car as most activities are at a walking distance. But if you decide to adventure a little further, such as visiting downtown San Diego, going to the Zoo or to Sea World, then it is important that you rent a car.
We live in a friendly community; own a 3 story home with 2 patios, with ocean and hill views. House is in mint condition. We live on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the property.
We have a cleaning lady that takes care of cleaning our house twice a month.
What would an ideal pet/home sitter look like?
1) Live part time or full time in San Diego for "short term assignments" otherwise for long term assignments, will welcome pet sitters living in any southern area close by, and would also consider those living in other regions of the U.S.
2) Sign our housesitting agreement and provide references.
3) Very important to love cats and shower them with a lot of TLC as well as to brush and play with them on a regular basis.
4) Have their own car transportation.
5) Clean and tidy.
And finally, we "thank you" for taking the time to read our ad.
Warm Regards :-)
