We need a housesitter for 10 days in May – dates not yet fixed - while we are overseas. We have a very friendly medium sized 6 year old “pavement special”. He is walked twice a day. A dog walker takes him in the morning and we take him in the late afternoon where he is off the lead for about 30 minutes – whatever the weather! He is used to having someone around more or less at all the time so the house sitter must be prepared to give him lots of TLC and either stay in (except for short periods) or take him with when he/she goes out. He/she must also have a clean licence and be willing to drive our “dog” car – a rather smelly Hyundai Getz. We also have four cats. Only one is sociable. We live in a medium sized Cape Victorian house with a large garden. It operates as a guest house but currently we only have bookings for five days in May for the cottage which is separate from the main house. The house sitter must be willing to meet and greet guests, show them the cottage and explain a few basics. Our domestic will deal with breakfast, room cleaning etc. A gardener comes three days a week. Almost all booking enquiries are by which we will deal with. If there are any telephone enquiries the house sitter will ask the caller to us.
