My home is in lovely Quebec City, Quebec. It is a beautiful old brick house, which I have divided into a duplex. My upper apartment is 2 floors. The main floor houses the main bedroom, office/tv room/music room/guest bedroom/, living room, large kitchen and individual toilet (lovingly known as the water closet). The laundry facilities are on this floor as well. On the 3rd floor, there is a large open area which I have decorated in vintage 1970s things. It is very fun (black lights, lava lamp, the works!). The full bathroom is also on this floor, claw tub, full shower, toilet and sink and dressing table area. On the main floor there is a balcony out the back which moves onto a little paradise of a yard. I have two himalayan cats, a lovely female of almost 12 years and a handsome male who is just over 4 years old. I live in a very happening area, close to all amenities, bars and restaurants. My house is within walking distance to Old Quebec, both upper and lower towns. The Central Station (bus and train) is also within walking distance. Quebec City is gorgeous at any time of the year. It is cold in winter (as is pretty much all of Canada), but beautifully decorated during the Holiday Season. It can be expensive to book a hotel, particularly during peak times. Where I live, you have everything you need - the Plains of Abraham and Old Québec within walking distance, a beautiful neighbourhood, comfortable home, grocery and corner store, bus service and more.
I am planning to go South for New Year, leaving December 29th just after suppertime, and back on January 13th (at 2 am). My sister will be spending Christmas with me and we both go to the airport at the same time on the 29th.
Would you like to spend your New Year in Québec City? With excellent references, you may be able to! :D
