I am a stay-at-home pet Mom and am looking for a housesitter/surrogate pet Mother Jan. 23 through February I am hoping to find someone who likes to read, watch movies, etc., who is willing to spend a considerable amount of time at home with my pets - 2 large, sweet dogs and an elder cat. I consolidate my daily activities so I don't have to go out more than once a day except on rare occasions, and I never leave the dogs alone (they stay inside as their barking disturbs the neighbors) for more than 4-6 hours at a stretch. Everyone who has stayed with them has fallen in love with them.
I will need someone to monitor the yard watering needs (mostly automatic) and a few houseplants, feed and love the animals, and monitor the mail.
I live very close to Barton Springs Pool in Austin, near the Hike and Bike Trail and downtown. Restaurants and a cool movie theater are a 10 minute walk away. I have a housekeeper that comes once a week, yard man every 2 weeks, a great book collection, several tvs, DVD players, stereo and wi-fi. My kitchen is very small though.
