We live in an attached townhouse in a lovely quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn with our cat, Truffles.
The house is three floors; we live on the lower two, with kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath, utility room and garden access on the ground floor; full bath, bedroom, and office on the second floor. The third floor is occupied by our tenant; a very nice and quiet individual.
The house is small, but very comfortable for two people. Our decorating is eclectic, with things we have gotten in our travels and handmade mosaics.
Truffles is bursting with energy in the morning and that is her preferred playtime. But she does like to snuggle up if you're sitting on the couch in the evening or taking a nap in the afternoon. Otherwise she sleeps much of the day.
For anyone staying in our home the main responsibilities are; feeding and loving Truffles, scooping the litter 1X per day, taking in the mail, putting out the trash, and watering house plants.
In the winter there is also the possibility of clearing snow off the steps and the front sidewalk and walkway.
In addition to enjoying our cat and our home, we hope the sitter will enjoy Brooklyn. We are close to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Park Slope. The bus is a short 2 minute walk; the Subway a 7-10 minute walk. Once on the subway, you can be in Manhattan in minutes, depending on your destination.
