We live in a townhouse in Windsor Terrace, a lovely quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn, with our cats Truffles and Snap.
Our location is a 5 minute walk to the subway, which will take you into lower Manhattan within twenty to thirty minutes. A bus stop is one block away, with buses to Park Slope and downtown Brooklyn.
We are in close proximity to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum, and historic Greenwood Cemetery.
The house is three floors; we live on the lower two, with kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath, utility room and garden access on the ground floor; full bath, bedroom, and office on the second floor. The third floor is occupied by our tenant; a very nice and quiet individual.
The house is very comfortable for two people. Our decorating is eclectic, with many things we have collected in our travels. If you like to cook, I have a well equipped kitchen.
Truffles and Snap are easy to care for. There might be play time after breakfast, Snap likes to play fetch sometimes, but like most cats they take long naps throughout the day. After dinner Truffles usually goes upstairs, back to sleep, while Snap cuddles up on the couch next to us.
For anyone staying in our home the main responsibilities are; feeding and loving Truffles and Snap, scooping the litter 1X per day, taking in the mail, putting out the trash, and watering a few house plants.
In the winter there is also the possibility of clearing snow off the steps and the front sidewalk and walkway. Since it is a townhouse, this is not a big job.
