I have a single-family bungalow tucked along a quiet street and neighborhood in Albany Park, Chicago. It is a five minute walk to the Brown Line (Kedzie El stop) which takes 40 minutes travel to the loop. There are many neighborhood restaurants and bars including some of the best Middle Eastern places in Chicago - there is even a Starbucks on the way to the train. The house has a lovely yard with umbrellas and a gas BBQ. The pups are really lovely - two pugs and a white boxer. They are kept on the property, no walks required or desired. They sleep a lot and just love company. They use the backyard for their "business." If maintained daily it is really not a problem. Lawn and garden are watered automatically. Just a few pots need water and the mail. Wi-Fi available.
