We are looking for a house sitter for 3 weeks starting around the last week of September (dates not finalized yet) to care for our home, yard, dog, and freshwater aquarium while we travel to South America.
The home: 4 bedroom, 1 bath split level with large backyard and deck.
The yard: lawn and raised garden beds will need to be watered. Enjoy riding the John Deere to mow the lawn! Any late growing fruits and veggies are yours for the harvest.
The pets: our 5 year old chocolate lab needs to have the ball thrown in the backyard several times a day (yes he's obsessed). He is great big friendly guy, loves attention and going to the river/lake. The fish just need to be fed, our tank is pretty self sufficient.
We are located in a small suburb of Kamloops which is semi-rural but mostly residential. Amenities within walking distance include a gas station w/convenience store and a neighborhood pub.
It's a quiet area with not much traffic so is great for walking. The neighbors are far enough away to enjoy privacy. There is an active train crossing nearby.
A large park with access to the N. Thompson River is just a 10 minute walk down the road. Beautiful fishing lakes and Sun Peaks resort are a short drive (30 mins).
