The Spanish Market and Contemporary Hispanic Market season is one of the best times of the year to be here!
We hope to find someone used to semi-rural living (though Santa Fe proper is not far down the hill), who is diligent about animal care, LOVES dogs, LOVES to hike, and will leave the house in the condition they found it. Please be a non-smoker.
We would love a person or couple capable of dealing with the occasional black bear incursion, our active dog and in the cooler months, a wood stove!
We have a great adobe house with a view, located just above Santa Fe, NM. Our greater property is four acres and has a pond (currently dry due to drought), and a tree house . A small part of it is fenced, and lush with flowers and trees, a welcome change from the dry and brushy surrounding hills. It's lovely and quiet up here and a bit out of town, it takes minutes to get to the Tesuque Village Market, and minutes to get to Santa Fe and the Northside Albertson's grocery store. Santa Fe also has a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Markets, a fabulous Farmer's market, great restaurants, wonderful museums, and tons of art and culture.
Must love dogs! We have a loving, friendly, active dog. The dog needs to be loved, played with, walked daily, and fed. He will sleep on the bed with you. We also have a lawn, potted plants and garden that need to be watered. It's green for NM, pretty and well worth the bit of effort.

* None of the forest fires are anywhere near us. You may, however, occasionally smell smoke.
