Hello. We are a family of four, we live in the country side just outside the town of Lucca in a house with a big garden.
The area is residential, quiet but not lonely. We have two lovely dogs: Guapa, blonde Labrador, and a funny dachshund, Alice; and two cats, Nina and Babette.
I am an artist, I paint and write. My studio is in the house. Because of this the house is full of colorful paintings and books, many of them in english.
The kitchen is large and well equipped : I love cooking. The house has large rooms full of light, and a piano.
The town is 3 km distant. Lucca is becoming a very well known town for its beauty.The area is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and trees, and some houses. It is a quiet place, easy to reach. Less then a kilometer far there is a small grocery shop, a bar, and two resaturants.
We are looking for someone that is easy and friendly with dogs and cats. Guapa and Alice are the most gentle dogs. They stay mostly in the garden together. They need to have a walk in the morning and in the evening. They walk up in the field behind the house, into the woods, up the hill on a foot path, safer then the road. But also are easy on a leash. The rest of the day they are in the garden or in the house, as they wish. I rather not have them stay alone more then a couple of hours, up to five, although exceptionally they can. The cats are self sufficient, but like company and their food plate always has to be filled up.
My daughter has a hamster Pepita that needs some seeds every three days.
The garden is very important to me. Flowers in pots and some other young ones need to be watered daily as my very small vegetable garden, on hot days. This all takes about half an hour. once every two days otherwise.
lucca is a very well known touristic town, it has a lot to offer, to be seen, concerts, museums, parks, good restaurants. it is a lovely safe town. Florence and Pisa are one hour distant, and the sea side is half an hour away.
We can advise you some lovely spots into the mountains where you can swim in the river.
