We live in Gozo the sister Island to Malta in the village of Qala. The village has wonderful views of Malta and third island of the Maltese Islands, Comino with its beautiful blue lagoon.
There is a beach very close at Hondoq and plenty of lovely areas to walk. Gozo is a gem with lots of historical interest. The citadel in the capital Victoria/Rabat is fascinating.
Transport here is easy with cheap buses all linked to the capital as a hub. The ferries to and from Malta run 24hours. Exploring Malta is a must for any visitor.
Should you wish to stay with us upon our return from holiday you are welcome to extend your stay to enjoy the big island too. We have to head to the UK and to the USA to see our families.
We have 2 cats that are independent. They come and go at will. We prefer them to be in at night when possible.
There 2 further semi-feral cats that pop in to eat.
The house is part of a small complex of Gozitan stone houses.it has 4 big bedrooms all en-suite and all with a balcony or terrace and a/c. There's fibre wifi , Netflix and satellite TV.
There is a private pool and we have a pool maintenance man. The only outside space is around the pool so the only gardening is looking after potted plants.
The village has 3 small superettes 2 of which are gloriously chaotic and 1 very organised. The village square has 7 assorted bars and restaurants and a pharmacy. It is dominated by a huge church as are all the Gozitan villages.
The locals are charming and very helpful. The local produce is fresh and delicious e and visit a place where people still have time for each other - you will want to stay for ever as we have done. Kind Regards
Marc
Ps smoking is your choice as long as you do it outside no problem with us.
