Just hours north of NYC,, my home is exquisitely located on the upper Delaware River. It is tucked into the side of a hill with a creek running down the side., so most of the year one hears the sound of the creek, as well as the sight of the river.
The house itself consists of a large, open, knotty pine living room/dining area/kitchen, with gas burning fireplace; an office/study; and a bedroom with a deck overlooking the river where at night, in bed, you can have moon baths as the moon travels across the skylights. It is beautiful at any time;in the Winter season it is a “winter wonderland.” In the summer, it is glorious -- a garden, kayaking, swimming, etc.
I also have a sweet little guest house with it's own deck overlooking the river.
I’m seeking a responsible, loving person to care for my very sweet, easy to care for, 13 year old dog “Moxie” (who, although not so moxie anymore, is in great shape),a very loveable 4 year old Border Collie mix, Fletcher, houseplants and a flower garden to water in the summer. Although in a rural setting, the nearby communities are rich with creative and environmentally concerned people. The closest town is 2.7 miles away.. You would need to have a car. My local newspaper featured a story about my house, including photos, which I would be happy to send you upon request.
In addition to finding someone for up to 4-6 weeks during the winter -- my dates not finalized yet -- I am also interested in finding someone(s) who would be available on occasion for a few days and up to a week for the next few months and, ideally, on a regular basis throughout the year.
This would be an excellent situation for someone living 2-4 hours away, like NYC, N.J., Phila. who wanted to enjoy regular visits to the country.
