Hi, we have a big house and garden in Tigre Delta, at 35 km from the city center of Buenos Aires. We are going travelling ourselves, from half of March till the beginning of August. So now we are looking for 1-2 persons to stay at our place and do the general maintenance.
We are looking for a couple of people we fulfill the following conditions/profile: - guaranteed commitment from first/second week of march (a week before our departure) till first week of August strongly preferred - Fair command of Spanish to be able to communicate with the neighbours, amongst others - Like dogs and cats. Our dogs (2) are very friendly and easy going, you don´t need to walk them as they are free to run in the big garden all day. Cats (2) are very independent, sleeps out of the house and they need only to have food once a day. - hands-on mentality and being handy. The garden is of a fair size, and needs continous upkeeping: mowing the lawn, raking the leaves, collecting the pecan nuts. Small repair jobs always occur. - know what to do if electricity goes off again for a day or so (we have a power generator equipment for this cases) Also know how to handle high-water. flooding (water will rise statistically once a year to enter the ground floor) - help with the general tasks of the B&B when there are guests (that will be almost exclusively in the weekends after half of April) - no need to go to town frequently. It takes 2 hours to go the the city centre of Buenos Aires. Each trip on the boat to or from tigre is 30 pesos (3 dollars)
What we offer is a beautiful spot in the nature, on a river, where you can stay in this case without paying rent or any bills. The only thing you have to pay for is your food and drinks (but we will leave some stock as well). You will have to work a couple of hours per day, but for the rest you can just relax, read books, write, use internet (good wifi available), walk, kayak, play with the dogs, watch movies (we have some 500 on DVD), or whatever you like.
